challenger valve springs

Looking for a set of valve springs a guides for an unstyled challenger, Any Ideas or know of a replacement spring that will work please let me know. I plan on using the jd 4010 valves, but certianly won't be telling that to my close John Deere friends. Thanks

RE:challenger valve springs

I looked and looked for some for my Challenger and never found them. You might contact Denise Brown on here as he is the Challenger guy. If you find them please post where if there is more. I know a lot of people put washers under the springs to tighten them up.

Valve springs can be found at your local Theisens farm store

RE:challenger valve springs

Got lucky and found some N.O.S valve springs at the parts depot, that is a warehouse close to my home in Chilton WI. that takes in older and obsolete  parts from dealerships and sells them. You cant buy directly from them, You generly have to find the part # and have your local dealership call them and get the part for you. They also have a warehouse in tennesee and colorado. (they only had 10, I bought them all) The only question I have now is that the surface where the valves sit is recessed quite a bit where the intake valve sits. The parts book only lists one valve spring. Is this correct or does the head require 2 different size valve springs?
