Massey Harris Corn Binder!

Well, we did something today I have wanted to do for 12 years!  We cut and bundled corn using the corn binder I purchased in Yuma. We needed corn stalk bundles for Pioneer Villlage at the Indiaba State Fair so our binder was called into service! After readjusting the needle and knitter from soybeans to corn and adjusted the tension springs, the old girl started working like a sewing machine.  We did not cut much today since it is so green but will be getting used quite a bit over the next 3 weeks.

We didn’t get pics today but hopefully we will later in the week!

it was definitely a great feeling seeing it working so well after all these years! It never missed a beat once we got it dialed in!

Gary,

You know we got to have pictures! Haha, just giving you a hard time. Glad everything worked well and hope more people will get to know Massey Harris and the history.

Cheers,

Well done Gary,

It's always a great feeling to use something in the field which we have had sitting in the barn for a while.
I look forward to seeing some photo's as I am curious what you had on the pole, was it a pair of horses or a M-H tractor????????

Malcolm.
