Fall indoor show

Well this weekend the machinery club hosted another indoor show since we had great success with the one we had in March. Unfortunately the success we had in March was not repeated this time. Nonetheless we still had small group of people come out and look at the tractors that were on display and struck up some conversations with some of them. So to me that says it wasnt all for nothing. Anyway as far as tractors go, as usual I brought my 55 but she wasnt alone this time. There was also a 44 gas narrow front and a Pony, both owned by the same guy. And of course I had to take some pictures...

RE:Fall indoor show

Well done on supporting your end of season indoor show Dakota and great to see that M-H was well represented amongst all the other colours.

All these events start small and gradually build up momentum and enthusiasm over time from both exhibitors and visiting public.

Next weekend is our end of season indoor Show on Newark Agricultural Showground in Nottinghamshire, it is the 17th year and we have seen it grow tremendously over the 16 years our Club has been supporting the show by putting on our own stand of exhibits to promote or Show next May. I hear they have over 700 entries so far and that will be a diverse showing of all makes of tractors, implements, horticultural tractors, trucks and cars. It now has become the "end of season show" where enthusiasts both exhibiting and spectating travel from all corners of the UK and Europe to enjoy the event.

Attached are a few photo's of one entry from last years show, a very well restored M-F 175 with M-F three point linkage mounted disc harrows.

I expect there will be some very interesting entries this year too.

Keep up the good work.
Malcolm.

RE:Fall indoor show

Malcolm, Thats quite the show you got there! Looks to be like its a lot of fun. I think for our little show we have some ideas to attract more people. Every year town of Princeton has a fall fest so we thought about latching on to that. We had also thought about asking a feller who lives in Evansville to bring his series I Big Bud HN 250. Yes unfortunately it takes time for events like this to grow, I think its a great idea, just need to find something that will attract the public. The problem we have in this area is that anymore now there seems to be way more festivals in the fall than I remember when I was a kid. So consequently everyone is festivled out by November. But like I memtioned in my first post, it was still fun and nice to shoot the breeze with everybody.
