We are exploring what opportunities may be out there to maintain and improve the Massey Clipper newsletter.  If you know of someone who you believe would be a good fit for this postion and does not veiw this web site or recieve the newsletter please forward this information to them.  Below is the ad that is appearing in the Clipper that members will be recieving this week.

Graphic Designer Wanted
The Massey Clipper is looking for a graphic designer to work part time from home with the newsletter.  The successful candidate will be a well-organized, highly motivated, self-starting individual who completes tasks in a timely manner and is willing to ask questions when needed and make changes to meet their customers needs and wants. 
Applicants should have a bachelor’s degree in graphic design and a minimum of three years of design experience.  They will need a home computer or have ready access to a computer with Adobe-Indesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and/or QuarkXPress programs and be proficient at using them.  Good communication skills will be required.  Experience with agriculture, farm life, tractor collecting, writing and/or photography would be a plus.
Job duties would include:
  • Deliver photo ready plates to printer as scheduled. Work with printer to correct any issues that may arise.
  • Design layouts for the newsletter, flyers and other printed and digital material for MCA
  • Work with Public Relations Chair to select material (photos and articles) to be utilized for each newsletter. 
  • Work with Public Relations Chair and others to acquire and generate material for the newsletter. 
  • Submit newsletter pages to Public Relations Chair and others as directed for corrections and approval before sending to the printer.
  • Work with MCA treasurer and Public Relations Chair to manage commercial and paid newsletter advertisements.
Compensation is negotiable and could be either hourly or salaried.  Applicants employed fulltime as a graphic designer for another company will need to provide documentation that their employer is aware of and approves of them working for someone else on their own time.
