Ok guys.

New info, part number on clutch houseing is not 286 or 296.  After sandblasting the plow it is clearly 236.

Also, this was on the moldboard of the plow.  It is hard to read, and i incovered it from the rust and dirt when i was sandblasting.

This is the 236 part #.

Toyboy, I still see some "shine" on the left side of that "3" . Let's see what others think. The truth is that a PE 236 has never been a MH part no.

My source is my micro fiche card set from the 70's indentifying all Massey part no's up to that point.  PE 286 is for a model 28 plow. Chuck

I have a parts manual for the MH No.9B Plow, Form  R170A dated 2-39.  Part number PE236 is on page 8 and is called "Bracket for Land Axle".  It was used on both the 2 or 3 bottoms.    I have said before that I believe you could possibly have a MH No.9B Plow.  If you need a copy of the Setting-Up & Operating Instructions or the Parts Manual please let me know I'll see that you get a copy.  Hope this helps you figure this out.
