2021 Massey Exposition of North America is a GO!

Greetings Collectors of all things Massey family related.

There still seems to be some concern about the COVID situation, and whether or not this years Massey Expo might still get canceled.  At this time it seems Extremely unlikely that anything would happen to cause cancelation.  We are Good to Go and moving full steam ahead!

Our lead show coordinator has spoken with the Local Health Department, and are meeting all current guidelines for Social Gatherings.  Here is an excerpt from the email I just received from Steve:

"Here is the update on the COVID situation in regards to Vanderburgh County and the MENA/Classic Iron Show. Currently Vanderburgh County is Blue on the State COVID map.  The map shows each County and ranks them based on COVID cases in each county. By our June Show things should be even better, we hope and pray. The best thing going for us is the fact that the show will be spread out over approximately 60 acres of the Vanderburgh 4-H Center. Only a few events will be indoors; the toy show, the Massey and MENA banquets in the Auditorium, and a Banquet Hall that serves meals.

Last week, Becky and I gathered information from the Indiana web site on COVID. After navigating it, we are in the process of  developing a COVID-Safety plan for the MENA/SIAM Show. On Monday, May 3, we had a phone conversation with Mr. Christian Borowiecki, Director Environmental Division of the Vanderburgh County Health Department. I’ve attached his email response and he also provided the attached Social Gatherings and Events Recommendations. He also provided forms for the Vendors who serve food as he mentioned in the email. The Food Vendor forms are being sent to all the food vendors since they deal directly with the Vanderburgh County Health Department.

In the COVID-Safety plan, we outline our plans for each building in the show grounds. For the MENA tent, we will provide the appropriate signage in regards to COVID; masks are optional and to social distance. SIAM is providing sanitizer throughout the grounds.  If IMCA and MENA can provide hand sanitizer for the tent, we would appreciate that."

IMCA will provide hand sanitizer for the Massey Feature Area tent.

If you have any questions or concerns about any of this, don't hesitate to give me a call.  317-605-3361

Look forward to seeing many of you at the Expo!!
