Massey Shirts thread #1

Going through my closet this weekend and sorting through my "Massey" shirts because for some reason they "shrunk" in the closet as some don't seem to fit me anymore, don't know what's up with that... maybe too warm in there?
As I went through them I took pictures of all the different shirts and came up with over 100 different designs. So I thought I would start a post and show them over the next couple weeks. Maybe some will spark a memory with some of you as i am sure there was some good times had at the shows these shirts were made for.
When it comes to Massey shirts two people come to mind, Steve and Sandy Miller as these two are the master minds behind alot of these Massey shirt designs.
When talking with Sandy a couple weeks ago I asked her which shirt was her favorite over the years. She quickly replyed the Dayton, Iowa shirt because of all the colors including blue. So I guess this should be my first shirt to post. I remember the show, seems like it was yesterday. It was on a golf course and we had very good weather. Here is a picture of Steve and Sandy and the shirt design.

RE:Massey Shirts

Ok first shirt was from I believe 2012 when we had the national show at Baraboo. This shirt was for sale in a little store at the showgrounds. I was quite suprrised when I saw it as it had the MCA logo on it and at that time it was pretty new to us and not really out in the public, or so I thought. The MCA logo is just a bit different than the one you usually see as the star burst lines are missing.

After looking through my pictures I don't know how I missed this but I found the shirt for this show made by steve and Sandy. I added it to the bottom last picture.

RE:Massey Shirts

Another thing I like to collect is shirts and hats from show's I've been too. While the only one I got at the moment that's Massey related is the one from the Expo in Evansville last year. I really like the black shirt Joe, someone should do that again, only maybe have a Canadian and American flag on it with the tractor.

RE:Massey Shirts

Here is the Massey T-Shirt quilt that Marlene made for the MENA Auction in Evansville in 2021.  Some of these shirts date back before the MCA was formed.  These are t-shirts that I pulled from my stacks. It will be interesting to see how many of these are also in Joe's stacks.

RE:Massey Shirts

John,
Nice! I believe I have 4-5 of them, I know I don't have the 1996 shirt as I was busy planning a wedding that year...
Here is the shirt for the day. Not many Wallis shirts out there so you have to get them when you see them. I believe I got this one off ebay some time back don't know who made it but it is a pretty nice looking shirt.

RE:Massey Shirts

These "Massey Shirts" seem to be generating some "Festive Spirit" as we get nearer to December.

Good to see the familiar people behind the scene of this thread enjoying themselves with their 'Massey Shirts'

Malcolm
I'm glad you enjoy this I'm sure there are many shirts you may not have seen before or many you have seen at shows and wondered where they originated from.
Here is a shirt from the Iowa MCA, I believe this is a design from Tina Vant Sant.

RE:Massey Shirts

John,
Here is a shirt that should qualify for a MENA or pre MENA shirt. If I remember right this was the 1st time I set eyes on the Wallis Cub that now resides in the "The Eastern England Massey-Harris Museum"

RE:Massey Shirts

Here is the 2009 MENA shirt from Tracy, MO. There were actually two shirts for this show. It was a very good show we got to thresh oats with Tom's Wallis Threshing Machine hooked to my Wallis Cub. Everything went good until the monsoon rains came through the night. Made for a challenge getting loaded up or even getting hooked up to the trailer to get loaded up...

RE:Massey Shirts

Shirt for the day,
2014 MENA shirt from Rushville, IN. The tractor on this shirt was once owned by John B. then myself and is now in the Tim Pace collection. This show was the first show for the restored MH #2 owned by Tom Jansen and the first show for the freshly restored MH 44 Orchard diesel owned by Dennis Brown. Dennis got this tractor from me in a pile of bones. If you look close to the picture it looks as though he is so proud of this tractor he used himself as the hood ornament. Also this may have been the first show for the newly restored Sawyer Massey but I am not sure on that one. One of the pictures proves your tractor will do better in a parade if you put gas in it. Their was alot to see at this show as you can see by the last picture one fella was completely exausted.
