RE:DIVERSIFY!!!!

Had another Christmas get together last night and aquired more trinkets for the Massey room. A folded page Wallis book and what I'm guessing is a spill proof coffee mug? I can remember back in the early 80s one of these sitting on the counter at the MF dealer used as a pen holder.

RE:DIVERSIFY!!!!

John,
I have hundreds of ads I've collected over the years but do not recall seeing one like this. This ad is advertizing for the decal transfers used on the Massey-Harris tractors. I really think this is cool and deserves a spot in my collection.

RE:DIVERSIFY!!!!

Here is a really cool looking cutting board I won for Jo on the Friends Of Massey bennifit auction last fall. I rellly like it, the only problem is I'm too afraid to scratch it up. I guess it will just have to be a static display in the kitchen.

RE:DIVERSIFY!!!!

Another great piece to brighten up the room! Pretty cool!
The chair was made by Randy Arneson of Wisconsin and the pillow as made by Sandy Miller of Minnesota.

RE:DIVERSIFY!!!!

Another type of M-H memorabilia to collect - mower gear box covers!

RE:DIVERSIFY!!!!

Trying again - made a mess of the pics yesterday.  Here's the latest fad - MH mower gear covers - surprisingly nice items once cleaned and displayed

RE:DIVERSIFY!!!!

February 28th 2012 a bag of Spelt Flour showed up on my doorstep 3,950 miles from where it was grown in one of Malcolm's Spelt fields.
Eleven years ago today I guess I was Diversifying as Jo & I came up with the idea of making Massey-Harris bread for the bennifit auction at the spring meeting in Iowa. We had alot of fun with this project and it made alot of money at the auction.
The funny thing is I still have one loaf in my freezer, It could probably be used for a corner stone on a cement building by now.. I also still have the top off my wedding cake in there from July of 1996, just imagine what a brick that is by now...

RE:DIVERSIFY!!!!

Wow Joe,

I can't believe that's 11 years ago, seems like yesterday and that just shows how time really does fly!! So the M-H spelt bread is in good company with your wedding cake at the bottom of your freezer, what else is in there with it??

Well my "Diversify of the Day" is my little M-F man who stands at the entrance door, he likes standing next to the M-H Home Heater and that's helped keep him warm this winter.

RE:DIVERSIFY!!!!

Malcolm,

I thought maybe the MF man was there to take coffee orders on a Massey-Harris stove..

Here is my Diversify for the day, I use this little table everyday next to my computer for looking through books and pictures or what have you. This is a very nice looking and handy little table.

RE:DIVERSIFY!!!!

Here in the UK we love to snack on various flavoured 'potato crisps', I think you guys across the pond refer to them as 'chips'?
Going back a few years now a Yorkshire Crisp Company decided to link their crisps to our British Agricultural Heritage, the late Derek Mellor from Buxton in the Peak District of Derbyshire was chosen for the photo shoot working his Ferguson Brown tractor. Here you see the two variations of the container they used over a few years of production.
I am sure some of you remember visiting Derek's collection back in 2011 just after being picked up from Manchester Airport.

I think the last photo shows where Joe got his baking lessons for baking M-H Spelt bread !!
