Glen Haskell

It is with sadness that we let you know that the oldest member of the Indiana Massey Collectors Family and long time member of MCA has left us at the age of 97.

Glen was recognized in one of the latest issues of the clipper.  Here's what was reported:

"Glen grew up on the farm working with his Dad. The family used horses to plow and do all of the farm work before having any tractors. In 1940, Glen’s dad bought the family’s first tractor, a Massey-Harris 101 Junior. His dad and brother got to use the tractor first because Glen was still assigned to the horses. When he was 14 years old, he finally got to use the Massey-Harris and that opened a new world for him. In 1944, his dad purchased a Massey-Harris 101 Senior. In 1947, they got a Massey-Harris 44, and in 1954 a 44 Diesel Twin Power was added to the collection. Glen is now living in Westfield, IN, in an assisted living facility, but his daughter, Vicki Sickler, still plans to get him out to some tractor shows in 2024."

His daughter Vicki sent this most recent message:  "I can never thank you enough for the kindness all of you have shown to Glen and I.  He really enjoyed his last tractor show and spending the day with everyone which was this past August in Rushville, IN.  May God Bless!"

This was on display at Glen Haskell’s funeral.  IN gives these to very senior members.  They are much appreciated by the member and their families.
