RE:Massey Posters

As the early years of Massey Manufacturing in Newcastle Ontario has just been mentioned in John's previous post, I thought it was appropriate to show these two today.

RE:Massey Posters

For today we are back in Great Britain and another poster from the very popular early dealer of F. T. Ruston & Son of St. Ives and Huntingdon, there has been a lot of early literature found in recent years with this dealers name on, they must of been very popular and sold a lot of Massey Harris  horse drawn equipment in their day.

This name often get's confused here in England with Ruston and Hornsby of Lincoln who built the British Wallis tractor under license, there are no connections and a totally different company.

RE:Massey Posters

Here is the fifth poster of the 125th anniversary series of five.  It is totally different in style.   Less than a quarter the size and not coloured

RE:Massey Posters

Following on with the Ferguson theme I have four small posters - on card not paper - which I had out of North America quite some time ago.  They are very simple but effective and would I am sure have been hung in dealers showrooms.  Here is one of them.

Here is another one from the same dealer F. T. Ruston, just a few years later than the previous one.

RE:Massey Posters

We seem to have lost a bit of momentum on this thread - do let's try and keep it going - there are a LOT of posters out there all telling a bit of the Massey story.  They need not be Massey-Harris - there are many, many from the MF era so come and join in.

Today I have a very colourful one from the MH era for the African market

Plus there are all the other Companies associated with Massey over the years, the amount of potential variety for this thread is immense and a great record of the material they put out to dealers worldwide.

Here is Big Bull poster which is huge when folded out as a poster, (three foot by two foot)

RE:Massey Posters

This one is my favourite from the posters I have from F.T. Ruston, although it has been damp some time in its life and now a little wrinkled, it's colour has retained and it displays well.

RE:Massey Posters

What some lovely posters. This is not a poster but a booklet so I suppose it shouldn't be on this Thread but he goes anyway. Alan
