Young Enthusiast

A notice was received by Olivia, a children's librarian who just wanted to get in touch with the National Massey Collectors because as she says “You've been such a major help with a young gentlemen I'm currently assisting. His name is Ethan and he's very interested in learning about antique machinery! While using the library's computer for research, we stumbled upon your page, http://masseycollectors.com/About/Links and found it to be a great source of information for him to learn from! Thank you so much! “

She goes on to say “Ethan also had the fantastic idea of passing along another resource to you that he discovered. It's https://www.oshaeducationcenter.com/heavy-construction-history/ and it's a all about the history of heavy equipment filled with additional resources. He learned a ton from it, so he hoped it could do the same for others using your page. “

She was reaching out to see if perhaps we could add Ethan's suggestion to our page.  She said he would be back later in the week and would absolutely love to show him that his suggestion was up and running.  She said he would be so happy and that would really make her day as a children's librarian. Plus, she thought he would be excited to show his parents that his suggestion was added to help other antique machinery enthusiasts like himself.
Well, thanks to Ethan and his librarian Olivia, another important link has been added to our about/links page.  Check it out!  Thanks Ethan and Olivia for visiting our site!

RE:Young Enthusiast

That is excellent Joe!  Glad to see more youth seeking information and getting involved in the history of old iron.  In addition to library research, can we introduce him to a local collector to allow him some hands on experiance and see equipment in real life?  I would be happy to host depending on youth location.  As always the calendar of events and shows are also a great way to get additional individuals involved.   Encourage all to show up and ask questions.
