Massey Harris 20 Combine

Hi all,
further to reading an article on Massey Fergusons own website, celebrating the 75th anniversary of the Massey Harris 20 Combine (article dated 2013), it is stated that the #20 combine utilised some parts from concurrently produced Massey Harris tractors, namely the large cast gearbox that attaches directly to the front axle, and the steering box that is attached to the rear axle.
Does anyone know what specific tractors MF may have been referring to ?
Given the timeframe in question, circa 1938, would the tractors in question be ones with a boiler plate chassis or cast iron chassis ?
