Some time ago the MCA (Massey Collectors Association) donated monies to a French exhibition which is currently circling through communities and schools in France.  This exhibition depicts the incredible role Massey-Harris, its managers and employees, played during World War II.
As I see it, Massey-Harris had four major roles at that time.  One, agricultural what with being at the center of the agricultural revolution.  Two, military what with assisting to arm Democracies.  Three, food what with contributing to food security in Europe.  Four, humanitarian what with demonstrating humanity while providing a network for victims of the war. 
Given much research, many interviews, great collaborations and organization, several panels with photos and slides were put together displaying their findings.  In addition, a website was created using part the MCA monies.  While in French one can select translate to English for an English version.  Here is the link:  https://destinsbrises.fr so please if you have several moments do take a look at this eye-opening document.

Thank you Jo and Jo-Jo for posting such a thoughtful notice about the work of the historians in France and Scotland for bringing to light the work of the French Association "Broken Destines".  It has brought to light the incredible sufferings of people at the hands of the Nazis in WW2 and the amazing role that Massey-Harris in France, led by President James Duncan, played in the resistance.  It also highlighted the awful plight of one man who must go down as Massey-Harris's most loyal employee ever but whose career was terminated by the Nazis.  I hope that MCA can maintain a link with the organisation which I understand will be delving more into M-H's French history.

It was a great pleasure to meet Karen, Lawrence and family in Scotland during our early August "UK Massey Tour".
What a pleasurable and very happy evening we had discussing in depths the very sad story connected to Sigmund Voss, his family and his deep loyalty to Massey-Harris. 

An incredible part of World History which has been hidden away in family thoughts for decades, now thanks to all historians involved, this project has been brought forward into the public domain, the exhibitons put together and displayed in a very professional way for both young and old to understand.

This hobby is not just about 'collecting tractors', there are many other aspects including world history which brings us all together today, we must appreciate what the people of Massey-Harris did in their working stride to benefit us all today.
