Joell L. Brumley, 67, of Cedar Falls, Iowa passed away on Monday, August 9, 2021, at her residence.
Joell Lynn Brumley was born on December 19, 1953, the daughter of James and Sibyl (Griffith) Brees in Waterloo, Iowa. She graduated from New Hampton High School in 1972 and from UNI in 1977. On June 10, 1978, she was united in marriage to Robert “Bob” Brumley in Carson, Iowa. Joell was a substitute teacher for several years until working at the Tri County Child & Family Development from August 23, 2005, until retiring in September of 2020.
She enjoyed gardening, collecting antiques, cats, snowmobiling and 4-Wheeling. Her greatest pride and joy was her grandson, Nolan. Survivors are her husband, Bob Brumley of Cedar Falls; son Jason (Jillian) Brumley of Cedar Falls; daughter, Jennifer Brumley of Portland, Oregon; grandson, Nolan Brumley and her mother, Sibyl Brees of Shell Rock. She was preceded in death by her father, James Brees in October of 2018.
There will be no formal service, Joell has been cremated and the family will greet friends on Thursday, August 12th from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at the Kaiser-Corson Funeral Home in Waverly. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given in her memory to either Human Society, Compassionate Care Veterinary Clinic in Waverly or C & W Rustic Hollow in Nashua and online condolences for Joell can be left at
