RE:Massey Shirts thread #2

Whiz-N-Day 2007 was a little on the bitter sweet side. We got a new mascot "Kyra" the dog but we lost our good friend Rudy Tutewohl in the summer of 2006 to suicide. Rudy and his daughter Angie were very involved in helping inspire the first two Whiz-N-Day shows. Not many people know it but but if you take a closer look at this shirt design the rock in the center has a cross on it for Rudy. The guys are looking up at him as Kyra just wanted to have a good time just as Rudy always did. There was no snow in the picture as the year before we had only a dusting so we were looking for snow. I think Steve & Sandy did a great job with this shirt design

The first three pictures are Rudy & Angie, Rudy enjoying a comfy seat, Rudy & his wife Deb. The second from last picture in this series is Rudy beaming down on Kyra and the boys letting them know he is finally at peace.

RE:Massey Shirts thread #2

Whiz-N-Day 2008 shirt design was inspired by last years show as it was -20* out. I believe this is Steve with his toung suck to the frozen pole and I am hooking the rope from his boot to the snowmobile as Kyra is going to pull him off the pole. (don't try this at home) There was plenty of snow this year so we had a good ride and show.

RE:Massey Shirts thread #2

Whiz-N-Day 2009 just happened to fall on Valentine's day so we decided to go with the heart motif. There was very little snow but we did ride as there was some in the ditches and on our usual trail. We did manage to make it to the big hill down in my neighbors back fourty and did some climbing. The snow was very glazed over so made it very slippery. This hill is alot steeper than it looks so there was one that didn't make it up and rolled down the hill. This was very unfortunate as the driver was very experienced and the machine was a Formula IV. Just a broken windshield, hurt pride and a crack in the hood. No worries as he works on these all year long and it will be fixed up better than new when he gets home. This was a Steve & Sandy shirt design.

RE:Massey Shirts thread #2

The Whiz-N-Day 2010 shirt was another Steve & Sandy design. This shirt derived from last year when there was a wipe out on the big hill. As you may have noticed since the Whiz-N started the number of machines has been increasing every year. This year we made it to over 100 Massey machines at this show, I believe this is the most Massey sleds at one place since they left the factory years ago. Later in the eavening we ate supper at the Covered Bridge Restaurant and If my memory serves me right it was Floyd's 67th B-day.

RE:Massey Shirts thread #2

Whiz-N-Day 2011 shirt design was another Steve & Sandy idea. This shirt was inspired by last years great sled turnout. This is a view from down the street showing the community center on the left and our shop on the right with sleds everywhere and the boys counting on their fingers and toes. Kyra is holding her nose while looking at his toes. This was a very foggy show and we thought we lost Bill Parrish out on the trail but he was back in the building eating chilli. The machine on wheels was put together by Joel Kasson back in the early 1970s. It has been sitting in his shed for years. I was able to make a deal on it but he wanted to make sure it was up and running first. I remember seeing this snowmobile on wheels as a young boy almost 40 years ago.

RE:Massey Shirts thread #2

Whiz-N-Day 2012 was another Steve & Sandy shirt design. One ride is worth a thousand words. Sometimes good words and sometimes not so good. this is a pretty cool design because it is never wrong. This was a pretty good show but there wasn't enough snow to ride so we got alot of talking in and had a great time. The Miller's also had Ski Whiz sweat pants and mugs for sale at this show.

Whiz-N-day 2013 was another great Steve & Sandy shirt design. Last year we had very little if no snow so this year Kyra has came up with a solution, go with wheels.

Whiz-N-Day 2014 the "Final Curtain"! What started out to be a one time show is now at it's 10th year! This is a great looking Steve & Sandy shirt design he even included a little bleep in the lower right corner. ..."We'll Be Back".  Who knows maybe someday this will come true... After this show we all met in Mazeppa at WD's for a great eavening with my nephew's live band playing.

RE:Massey Shirts thread #2

Well, I've finally come to the end of the shirts I dug out of my closet. I'm sure I have some more stashed away in other rooms or in boxes somewhere. Between the Massey Shirts Thread #1 & #2 i posted over 100 different shirt designs and posted over 2,000 pictures. I hope I diddn't bore you all too much. I had alot of fun going through pictures and seeing things I had forgotten about. The worst part was seeing just how many people are no longer with us. Hope to see you all at the Spring Meeting comming up in March.
