RE:MH 33 Mower

Great job Dan.  The swathboard socket went into the mail on Monday.  You should have it soon!!

Your color choices were great!!

Look forward to seeing it in person.

RE:MH 33 Mower

I got my sign man to reproduce the decal for the seat spring. What do you think?

RE:MH 33 Mower

So after looking at the original decal again he changed the color. Anybody have a idea which is closer? It is very hard to tell from the original because it is faded. Did Massey use blue back in those days?

RE:MH 33 Mower

Dan,

Over the years I have seen one other decal like this on a seat spring display, it could even of been Steve Millers at one of the Massey Expo's when he had a mobile display of seat springs and cast iron Massey related seats.

My memory is not as good as it used to be but I am leaning towards and favouring the darker green background on this decal.

Malcolm.

Just been through my photo's and yes it was the Missouri Expo in 2009, here are some very poor photo's that do not really show you what you want Dan, but it is definitely Steve Miller's display, so well worth you making contact with him.

RE:MH 33 Mower

Thanks Malcolm is Steve on this forum?

RE:MH 33 Mower

I don't think Steve gets on here very often, it would be worth you giving him a call on

I have zoomed in on my first photo which is slightly blurry, it looks like the one on the front row to the right next to the cream separators is the one you want to clarify, shame the photo is not clear enough to see.

Malcolm.

RE:MH 33 Mower

Well right or wrong it is done. I have never spent so much time trying to get a decal just right but I think I am very close. I had a lot of help from Mike and Steve. Thanks guys

RE:MH 33 Mower

Well the mower is all done and it even works. I put it in gear and pulled it a few feet with my 1220 just to see if it works. Didn't want to scratch the paint. I am very happy with it and so thankful for all of you that supplied me with pictures drawings parts and encouragement, this is a great group of people. I don' t think I could have got it done with out your help. I decided to photograph it with the 1220 and it started on the second time over not bad for sitting since September. Now onto the wagon which will be more of a challenge because I have nothing to go on besides photes.

RE:MH 33 Mower

Nice job, Dan!  And it looks good with the 12-20.  Thanks for sharing the photos.  I doubt there is anybody out there who could say conclusively that there is anything at all wrong with how you fixed it up.

And, yes, this group of Massey folks are the best there are.  The phrase coined several years ago by our dearly departed Don Snyder are accurate:

"Old Massey Collect The Nicest People"

Well done.
