I first met Keith Oltrogee at the 1994 Camp Creek Waverley Nebraska, "Wild Harvest" Massey Show.
Seen here enjoying himself at Massey Days and at home in his own barn.

Sure does look like fun! The crawler does look like it'd be fun to drive.

Talking of Camp Creek Nebraska, reminded me that was the first time I met Steve and Sandy Miller. BUT before meeting them I found a Pony on a trailer in the motel parking lot with no engine and then I actually met "Bob" before meeting Steve and Sandy, what a way to start a 28 year friendhsip, Thank you Bob.!!!

Steve and Sandy Miller known around the world.

Seen here displaying their huge M-H Pony banner at the Hughesville PA Expo many years ago.

Sandy seen here hauling my Wallis Cub all over North Dakota and Minnesota before loading in the container bound for England on the morning of 9/11. If only that tractor could talk!!!

The late Orlo Jordan from Melvin, Iowa seen here enjoying his Wallis K at the 1999 Expo at Rollag Minnesota.

Then his late wife and son Lon at The Le Sueur Expo a few years later where they delivered the tractor to me at the Expo. A few years later their daughter visited England from Arizona and came to Lincolnshire to see "dads old tractor in it's new home".

Excellent pictures. I'm surprised Mr. Farnworth hasn't chimed in yet, would enjoy hearing about his memories as well.

Malcolm,
Very nice thread you started here! Many people we've met over the years are no longer with us but will always be in our memories from the good times we had together enjoying this hobby. Here is a picture of Roger Schnell in his glory with his 12-20 Massey Harris. I met Roger over the phone long before I met him in person. He sent me his manifold for this tractor in very bad shape and I was playing with a powder welder at the time and fixed it all up for him. He was very pleased. If everyone lived life with the same morrals and attitude that Roger did life would be smooth sailing.

Joe,

I remember Roger well from the earlier Expo's, he always talked about his original family I-H Mogul 10-20 which was still on their farm  from new.

Another one to mention is the late Dick Carroll from Alta Vista, Kansas. Dick inspired my early years of Wallis collecting after visiting him in 1994 with my travelling partner of that time, the late Derek Hackett of Ross-on Wye, England, both seen here talking Wallis in the second photo.

A regular exhibitor at The Old Threshers show in Mount Pleasant Iowa , this is where I first met the late Vic Lauer from Mount Union IA. We met up many times at different shows in the mid west over the years and eventually both his Wallis K and Wallis 12-20 found their way across the pond to England.
